BEST DRINKS ON THE RIVIERA MAYA

Thirsty? Try this list of the best drinks on the Riviera Maya (Or, okay, fine, evenings... Be that way.) These are the most refreshing and light libations that are ideal for hot weather. Any cocktail can be great for unwinding at the end of a long day, but it's only certain delicious cocktails that work ideally for hot days. Drinking Negronis and Old Fashioneds may be your favorite way to enjoy alcohol, but surely, when it's hot outside, a Campari Sour or even a Gin Fizz might be more appropriate? Hot and summer are often associated with "tiki cocktails" that tend to include a lot of rum or vodka and fruit flavors, and are associated primarily with the tropics. Drinks like the "Zombie," the Pina Colada and the Mai Tai bring to mind relaxing Caribbean beachscapes and late-night walks. Now you can check out here some of the best drinks on the riviera maya
  1. Margarita.- Like all good things, the key to the margarita is its simplicity. The pairing of only three easily attainable ingredients to form this magical elixir leaves endless room for customization, or for no-nonsense minimalism.
  1. Mojito.- A mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, soda water, and mint. The original Cuban recipe uses spearmint or yerba buena, a mint variety very popular on the island. Its combination of sweetness, refreshing citrus, and mint flavors is intended to complement the potent kick of the rum, and has made this clear highball a popular summer drink.
  1. Daiquiri.- From frozen and fluorescent-colored, to sticky and sweet, the Daiquiri has morphed into  on many forms — and not always for the better — since its introduction during the waning years of the 19th century. Is a family of cocktails whose main ingredients are rum, citrus juice (typically lime juice), and sugar or other sweetener.
  1. Caipirinha.- It’s a brazilian cocktail made with cachaça (pronounced “cah-cha-za”), lime or lemon juice, sugar and crushed ice; the caipirinha is a very simple cocktail with one main ingredient: cachaça. And it is with cachaça that the story begins. Cachaça is often confused with rum because both spirits are derived from sugar cane; nevertheless, they are surprisingly different, this is the secret of this delicious cocktail.
  2. Piña Colada.- In Spanish, Piña Colada, simply means “strained pineapple”. Even though the current recipe dates from the 1950’s, there are some allegations that the name didn’t officially materialize until almost ten years later. The “modern” Piña Colada depends on “coconut cream” as an ingredient and that doesn’t appear on the scene until 1948 when Don Ramon Lopez Irizarry, looking for an easier way to extract the cream from the pulp of the coconut, wound up creating the well known Coco Lopez product.

WHAT YOU CAN’T FORGET WHEN PACKING FOR THE BEACH

WHAT YOU CAN’T FORGET WHEN PACKING FOR THE BEACH

Summer beach bag with straw hat, towel, sunglasses and flip flops on sandy beach

Usually when you’re going to the beach the first thing you get is a new swimsuit, but it isn’t the most important item! Think that you’re travelling to another country (Mexico) so there are some things you need to bring with you to have the best vacations ever. With your flights and hotel booked, the luggage is the last thing stopping you from that great holiday. We know it feels like a chore, but if you follow our expert packing tips you’ll never have to worry.
  • Make a list.- We know that it sounds a little boring, but lists are the gateway to a stress-free holiday. Separate your essentials from your desirables, and be realistic with your luggage limitations. If you need list inspiration – the following might be a good place to start.
  • Always bring a first aids kit.- Just bring a small bag with the most necessary pills and medicine you might need. After all, nobody wants to suffer a punishing headache, high-climate fever, upset stomach or all three during a holiday. It might be easy enough to pick up a domestic remedy for your ailments at home, but medicines in the country you are visiting may be limited to prescription only. The same goes for allergy meds and asthma remedies – bring them on board!
  • Name tags are there to help.- Unless you’re an international man of mystery, you shouldn’t have to worry about travelling incognito. Most suitcases come with name tags fitted as standard, so be sure to fill them in just in case you – or the airline – lose your luggage!
  • Observe restrictions on baggage.- If your airline says: “23kg”, then they mean 23kg! Weigh your bags before you get to the airport and make sure you are within the restrictions, otherwise you’ll be forced to cough up extra cash at the airport.
  • Save bag space for all your holiday purchases.- Whether it’s duty free goods or holiday mementos, it’s inevitable that you’ll be bringing more back home with you than when you left – so make sure you have room for it!
  • Don’t predict the weather – check it.-Despite almost all year in the Riviera Maya is summer, there are some months of the year that rains A LOT, that’s why we recommend you to check out the weather before even purchasing your flights.
  • Don’t forget the essentials!.- Bring your swimsuit, biodegradable sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, sandals and the best attitude to enjoy all the wonders the Riviera Maya has for you!
And the most important tip, don’t forget to book your transportation with Transfer Cancun Airport, the best ground transportation service of the Riviera Maya, and travel safe and comfortable with all your family.
